In this episode of HARMAN's interview series “The Next Wave," Young Sohn sits down with International TV Presenter and Journalist Ali Aslan to discuss the future of Artificial Intelligence. For this episode, we're flipping the script. Instead of asking the questions, our very own Young Sohn shares his expertise on the timely topic. This interview took place in Berlin, Germany at the “New Data Economy and its Consequences" video symposium held by Global Bridges.
Young & Ali discuss the importance of the data economy, ethical AI, data privacy and security, and bias. Young highlights the importance of data privacy and being able to opt-out when you begin to engage with company. When it comes to bias, data isn't inherently biased, but we must be mindful that it may become biased based on how it's analyzed and interpreted. It isn't all doom and gloom, however. AI and data allow us to do amazing, and sometimes lifesaving, things work – as seen with the COVID-19 vaccines, the work being done with genomics and biotech.
This episode's interviewer, Ali Aslan is an internationally renowned TV presenter, talk show host, moderator and journalist. His international career in broadcast journalism spans more than two decades and three continents and includes work for CNN in Washington DC, ABC News in New York and Deutsche Welle TV in Berlin.
