​​Lip-Bu Tan is Chairman and Founder of Walden International and a Founding Managing Partner at Walden Catalyst Ventures and Celesta Capital. Tan has been active in the venture capital industry for over two decades and he introduced and pioneered the U.S. venture capital concept in Asia and contributed towards the promotion of early-stage technology investing in the Asia-Pacific region.

Tan concurrently serves as Executive Chairman of Cadence Design Systems, Inc. after stepping down from CEO in December 2021, and has been a member of the Cadence Board of Directors since 2004. Tan serves on a number of boards across various industries – including Softbank Group, Schneider Electric SE, and SambaNova Systems.
